About This Course

ICS-400: Advanced ICS for Command and General Staff provides training on the advanced application of the Incident Command System (ICS) for complex incidents. The course covers command and general staff functions, the planning process, area command, and multiagency coordination systems.

This advanced course is intended for members who are in, or preparing for, senior incident-management roles. It builds directly on the intermediate ICS-300 course.

  • ICS-300: Intermediate ICS for Expanding Incidents
